Forbidden Eye Design LLC, the alter ego of artist/designer Robert Plante, was launched in late 2006, but Plante has been designing all his adult life, and drawing since he could pick up a pencil. Born in Troy, NY in 1968, he's lived in the Albany area most of his life, working in publishing and printing, all the while creating posters, T-shirts, and ads for record stores, bands, and underground zines. An art director for six years, he endeavored to bring fresh new looks into the sometimes creaky educational publishing world, before striking out on his own.
